Mac users have it their way with direct radio tuner access to 1,700 radio stations from around the world, categorized by genre and location. This is achieved through “the intelligent utilization” of a broadband connection with the respective available bandwidth. This allows the program to perform “near-instant playback,” according to RealNetworks, by dramatically reducing the time it takes to load or buffer a clip prior to playback. RealPlayer has recently added a new feature called TurboPlay. The software is free to download and install on almost any Mac. Changes include usability enhancements, as well as bug fixes. RealPlayer, one of the best media players for Mac, giving broadband users near-instant playback of RealVideo and RealAudio, has been updated to version 11.0.0 Build 884.
